Samsung DSLR - a very pleasant surprise

I have had this camera for a few weeks after having used a pentax *ist DL and have been very impressed with it.Build quality:The first thing I noticed was how solid it felt in my hands, given the price point of this camera I was quite amazed. To my mind it feels as good as the Nikon D80. The grip is comfortable and the buttons in sensible positions.Key Specs:1. With weather and dust seals the GX10 (and its brother the pentax K10D) is uniquely placed in the DSLR market to combat adverse weather conditions. Add to this the anti-dust system and you have a very effective system. Anyone with a DSLR who has suffered from particles on the sensor will tell you this is very very useful. I've taken thousands of images and not had to re-touch any due to particles on the sensor. It is slightly off-putting when you start the camera up and feel a bit of a shake though I quickly got used to this2. Anti-Shake seems to work pretty well, certainly noticeable without it, although I don't know how this compares with other cameras systems.3. 10MP Sensor, most people will not need bigger - I've printed off some A3 prints that I've been very happy with.Handling:It feels great in the hand, very solidly built and has an array of buttons close to hand. Focus zones and metering zones can all be changed with external buttons. You do however have to go into the menu system to change the ISO, but you quickly get used to doing this. The white balance settings give you a preview of the impact different selections will have on the image, which is very useful, particularly when you deliberately choose an incorrect setting. I don't think the metering system works quite as well as my friends nikon, but on the whole was pretty impressive.Image Quality:On the whole very impressive, although just like the Pentax, the jpegs do seem to be very slightly lacking some of the sharpness you would get from a canon or nikon. However, you really need to be looking at full size images to notice, and as most of the time you're not going for more than A4 it really doesn't matter. The RAW images are amazing, 22bit means lots of flexibility when you come to do some post processing.On the whole, especially for the money, I could not believe how good the camera is. The biggest down side is the name on the front and lack of kit from Samsung, but there is such a huge array of past and present pentax stuff that you can use this should not be a problem. You are likely to get a few sniggers from the canon/nikon boys, but with an equally capable camera and lots of spare change in your pocket, you'll get the last laugh.

Seiko Auto Watch

I treated myself to this watch, I've always wanted one like this. The delivery from Spain was faultless as was the communication(albeit some of it was in Spanish) Previous reports on this watch indicate that it annoyingly loses time. Mine is the same, after being use to digital watches that rarely need adjustment, on this watch it is the only niggle and why I haven't given it 5 stars. I haven't left this watch off my wrist except for washing so it isn't because the mechanism has wound down.Overall a great watch that I bought in the sale, I would have not paid the r.r.p as indicated pre sale.

Quality military style automatic

Very nice watch, wears unobtrusively on the wrist. Comfortable strap. Solid feel to the constuction and nice to see the action of the automatic winding behind the clear back. The satin bezel and dark dial work very well. All that I could have asked for from this watch. Delivery took a couple of weeks, but definitely worth the wait.

The shipping was excellent, and the watch is really nice. It surprised me a bit when I first put it on my hand because it is very light and a bit smaller than I expected. After wearing it for 5 hours I start getting used to it and it feels and looks really nice.Not sure about how water resistant it is (e.g. how safe is having it while taking a shower)The straps are nice and the buckle doesn't seems like it would scratch and ruin my laptop (below the keyboard) like a metal watch would do.I'm happy with it.

Modern Classic

The watch was delivered within three days of ordering. Well packaged and very nicely presented. This watch oozes quality and I know I have owned a watch three times this price and it appeared to be no better. The materials seem to be of a very high standard. Visually that big 50mm dial has tremendous impact. Fashion aside, the fact that the face is clear to see is a big plus. Some of the watches I own are multi dialled and it is very difficult to read the details. It has a feeling of over engineering and although I'm not an exhibitionist (honest) it does get nice comments where ever you go. I would recommend a TW STEEL watch to any one who appreciates functionality, classic looks and quality, all in the same package.

Elmo as cute and adorable as ever!

Fisher-Price Elmo Loves You is a great product that doesn't cost the Earth! Little hearts in Elmo's eyes light up as he sings "Elmo loves you...so,so,so... Please hug Elmo!" (to the tune of "London Bridge is Falling Down") The song can get a little tiresome after a while, but once you pull the tag from his battery compartment, he says a couple of other phrases. Squeeze his belly and he tells you: "Elmo needs a hug", then when you hug him he says "Thank you!" He really is adorable! But be warned, if you buy this as a gift for someone else, you won't want to part with it!

Very cute, but read on.............

Great product, however what I would say is that the product description used on the site is incorrect. Says that Elmo has a flower in his hand and clearly from the picture he doesn't.(Amazon have been advised of this) Also remove the plastic strip from the battery pack on his back this will allow the toy to say more phrases as the item is set to demo mode and only says one phrase when his tummy id pressed incase anyone is disappointed when they receive it. Otherwise a great toy, Daughter will love it for Christmas.

My sight is deteriorating & I needed A clear face watch. Women`s watches are too small to read & most men`s watches have reflective glass & indifferent figuring. The TW Steel watch. has A lovely clear face ,a real modern look and although quite bulky is incredibly comfortable. A brilliant find.

I bought this watch for £177 through Amazon when it was £240 absolutely everywhere else! Its a lovely watch, big and chunky and is obviously well made. Really nice box too if buying as a gift.Really happy with it. I've got big wrists and it looks great in the 40mm size. 50 mm looks ridiculously large in my opinion but I'm sure its as good a product..

Great 'geek' watch

Bought this for a friend who was difficult to buy for and he loves it! Doesn't look bulky on his small wrist either. P&P was very quick, ordered over the weekend and arrived mid-week to Ireland.Just one thing to note, the watch face is 'blank' as you have to press the side button to show the LED's (which are very bright so don't blind yourself).Nice, simple and timeless design. So long as you can read binary, you can't really go wrong!
