Nice and chunky but Brits get ripped off by the High Street price

I love my G-Shock!!! I love it so much that I will never buy any other type of watch again when this one dies, except another G-Shock. It's rugged-looking, tough, a nice colour, suits me and my personality (such as it is) and does what it says on the tin (and it comes in a very nice tin). I can't really see any downsides apart from individual style issues. I like the multiple alarm feature and the one-touch world time selection (you set it to GMT then select the zone your in instead of having to reset the time as you travel). I also like the looks and the reputation G-Shocks have for reliability and durability - and so far mine has not disappointed. The only downside is the strap wears out faster than the battery does but, even so, whilst the strap is showing the strain it hasn't let go yet.Update July 2011: As my old one of these is showing the wear (but still going strong) I bought another one, which I keep for wearing when going out; for best. I shall be keeping an eye on the stock levels (the Casio website says these are discontinued) and if it looks like stockists running out of these I shall almost certainly snap up a couple more to keep in reserve as the current crop of "chunky" watches on offer don't really leap up and slap me. Nothing has caught my eye like this one does. It really is a very nice, very good, very reliable watch.

I am a fan of G shock and Baby G watches but wanted one a bit smarter that I could wear when going out. I have not been disappointed. It is a great looking watch and I am really pleased with my purchase. Bought at a bargain price too, what more could I ask for!!

Great watch, buy from Amazon.

Bought this watch as an impulse buy at Gatwick Airport (not me at all) for £52, boy was I ripped off. Although I considered this at the time as good value, I checked on Amazon and found it about £20 cheaper. This is a good watch, you just need to read the instruction for some of the initial setting up.
