Seiko Perpetual Calendar.

This watch is typical Seiko,meaning well made,but on the bulky side for the Perpetual Calendar, but this is the cost you pay for this type of watch, by getting a lower price compared to other watchmakers, where it could be three or four times the price! This Silver dial perpetual calendar watch SNP001P1 stands out on the wrist, due to the light bouncing off the silver dial, it looks smart as well, but I think the two small dials are hard to read if eyesight not really good.The black hands stand out against the silver. Day Date is easy to see. Leap year counter is also easy to see. Seiko's are very good watches, but like all watches, need to be overhauled after several years, they usually just stop for no reason, this is the time to have them overhauled. I bought this watch because I was sick of altering the date every other month from 30 to 31 days. Also February in a leap year. This does it automatically. I have had Seiko Kinetics before and found them very good. This one will wake up after 4 years and go to exact time again if left longer than 24hrs on a shelf. I advise you to get this overhauled by Seiko, as you get a good job done,the only thing is it could cost 1/2 the watch price, but you do get an estimate from them before paying. If you use a cheaper jewelers service, you will have to take the chance with them, some send them to Seiko anyway, but some do it on the premises and all the do is plunge it in an ultrasonic sound wave bath, then try to oil what they can get at. Seiko do a stripdown, but like I say, you pay for this,on a watch like this one, it's worth it, because they check the rechargable battery as well.
