Co-ordinate your kitchen, and have fun whilst doing it

If you are passionate about cooking -- like me -- you will want a decent washing up bowl to clean your beloved utensils, cookware, and crockery in. I couldn't believe it when I did a search for 'silicone washing up bowl' and this range by Normann Copenhagen came up tops and then I was even more pleased to see the range of colours. I think this is the perfect size because it has deep corners and a little flexibility anyway. I like the fact this is not a huge washing up bowl that fills the entire sink cavity because I like having some space to pour away e.g. used coffee grinds to avoid them going in my washing up water. The reason I bought this was because my solid plastic washing up bowl scratched my stainless steel sink; this doesn't. This is hard-wearing, flexible and durable rubber that will withstand boiling water and stains from turmeric, saffron, harrisa, coffee, and food colouring. It might be useful to know that the lip unfolds for cleaning -- muck and grime collects underneath; I leave the washing up bowl with the lip upturned permanently. In complete contrast to the ultra-urban washing up bowl, comes a natural wooden-handled very soft-bristled washing up brush; this is useless -- the bristles fall out; don't bother with it.I conclude that this washing up bowl makes washing up an innovative exercise rather than routine chore. 16th February 2012, I replaced it with another one but in red, to match my new kitchen accessories. I love it that much.

This washing up bowl is simply wonderful! By it's very nature, it's flexible, durable and looks great in the sink. It is on the pricey side of products of this nature but like most things - its all about the quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

A decadent present to myself and my new sink that doesn't like rigid plastic bowls! I thought the experience of a bit of renovation in the kitchen would be very rewarding but after reading all of the care instructions of appliances and surfaces has left me feeling slightly anxious everytime my husband makes a cup of tea. Must learn to chill...Back to bowl love it,very pink, makes me smile.
