Robust packaging.

The lamp was well packaged with a lot of 'folded' cardboard, unpackaging made assembly seem more complicated, but I would rather that than flimsy packaging. My partner picked the black chrome colour which I was not too keen on, I would have liked satin brass. Anyway a few days after we got the lamp a friend came to visit and she loved the colour because she said it meant the lamp did not dominate the room which was exactly what my partner had said lol and heck they were are right too.I really like the lamp, the dimmer switch works well and can change the mood of a room :-)Let you partner unpack and assemble the lamp then he can go all 'caveman' sit you in a dark room the ' Ugg I bring you light!'
