Victorinox Dux slicing knife

This is the most useful knife I have ever bought. I have had mine for 20 years and, despite never have been sharpened, it is still razor sharp. The adjustable guide means you can slice cucumber very thinly, salami a bit thicker up to mushroom very thick. Provided you are careful with your knuckles and finger tips, you can slice extremely quickly and accurately. Because of its quick and easy adjustability, I find it much more useful than a "mandolin" for slicing.

I have had my knife for about 8 years and I love it. I use mine for making the thinnest egg sandwiches, also for cutting salami and cucumber. It seems to stay really sharp and cuts through the freshest of bread. A worthy addition to any knife drawer.
