A calculator with great capabilities

I 've been using HP calculators since 1990. I have used HP 32s and since 1995 I use HP 48s. I have retired HP 32s and maybe soon I should have to retire HP 48s also because of the wear of the keyboard due to the long and hard use. So I decided to purcase HP 50G. Fortunately 50g is similar to 48s but with extended capabilities so it was easier for me to became familiar within a short time. I'm a civil engineer and I find this calculator very useful for my work. It's capabilities are huge but it needs plenty of effort to unfold them. Of cource there are PC's everywhere but the magic of exploring and building your one applications with a calculator like this is irreplaceable.Pantazis Kirolivanos

This is a first class calculator. It is not easy to use (except for simple calculations) but it is capable of performing very sophisticated calculations; the type you would encounter on engineering degree courses and higher. Many of the calculations could be performed by sophisticated computer software, but this calculator is easier to carry, use, quicker and lasts for ages on a set of batteries.It does take some time to really master (if it is possible to fully master) but it is a well thought out, carefully designed, well made, calculator. Highly recommended, the best calculator I have ever used.
