Love this pan!

Being an Asian I cook a lot and have been for the past 20 years. I have a set of thick based stainless steel pans which are not a known brand but are very good and I have been using them for past 10 years. I was looking for a wide and shallow pan for a while. After a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to buy the LE Creuset.I have been using the pan for the past 2 weeks and I am really enjoying cooking in it. It's a heavy pan but that's what I was expecting . The thing I love about it that unlike other cheaper stain less steel pans food doesn't stick to it easily (unless I keep the flame high). This means I can easily cook in less oil with great results.My old pans have part plastic handles that prevent the conduction of heat to the handle. The Le Creuset does not have this feature, hence I was worried that the handles would heat up easily. Although there is some heat conduction through the handle, it is less than I expected and I can tolerate it. One of things I was disappointed about this pan was the rivets inside of pan which secure the handles in place, but this is purely aesthetic, as I prefer a completely smooth interior. I had concerns with regards to the shape of the lid and its inability to keep the steam in while cooking. I was pleasantly surprised as the pan provides an adequate seal. It is easy to wash, it looks beautiful and the more I cook with it, the more I love it. So much so I am buying a few more. Overall, a lovely pan.

The hardware performs exactly as described, making it possible to scan a wide range of bound volumes without straining the binding and without producing a distorted image of the part of the page closest to the the spine. With the bundled page-management software correctly set up, the scanning process is rapid.The other bundled software is a little less impressive. It is possible to generate .doc and .pdf files, and while the built in OCR performs quite well, it does not support the proofing and training features found in higher-end OCR packages.

Beware of so called equivalents.

Although having had one of these superb ladders for about 3 years now I have to admit that I purchased them from a TV shopping channel(QVC) never having seen them being advertised anywhere before.Almost as soon as I started using the ladder its sheer strength and stability stood out to the extent that for the first time in 20 years I actually succeeded in managing to have my wife join me in the loft, and thats saying something! as even although I have other ladders / steps she never felt safe on them and as they say "chickened out" half way up.About a year after using the ladder I made the fatal mistake of letting my son borrow them for a job he was doing, subsequently finding the inevitable difficulty in getting them back again to the extent that I wished that I had purchased two in the first place as I couldn't find anywhere else that sold them, this being where caution has to be exercised.There are a few others about that "looks" as though they are the same thing but just a different colour and which I nearly made the mistake of purchasing as they are "NOT" an equivalent! as comprehensive checking made by visiting stockists of these "alternative" ladders revealed that the tubular sections used in their construction is far thinner and lighter that of the Telesteps, so although looking the same are most definitely not! and its something that should always be kept in mind by anyone possibly looking for so-called cheaper equivalents, in other words a case of you really get what you pay for!

This ladder does exactly what I bought it for, to access my loft. Saves having the bother of fitting a pull down fixed one. Also means I can take it with me when/if I move. It packs away into the airing cupboard causing no inconvenience whilst leaving it accessible. Glad I read the instructions before I used it - an essential requirement. Can recommend it 100%

Fantastic..... came the next day of ordering!!

I first saw this item in homebase for a stagering £200+ and it seemed as if it was good quality. The price on hear was amazing nearly £100 cheaper!!!!!! So I ordered the item and chose standard delivery and the next day it came to my surprise the initial item is fantastic its quite heavy but that asure's you that it is safe it is easy to use and can be stored away neatly I highly reccomend this item thanks Amazon!!!

After 30 years - time for the same again

As a wedding present, almost 30 years ago we were given a set of these pans. Eventually the screw threads on the inside of the handles went because we kept unscrewing and screwing back on the wooden handles to allow us to put them through the dishwasher.We then replaced with an expensive set of non-stick pans (costing roughly the same as these) and I have regretted this decsion time after time.Now, new Le Crueset pans have arrived and I'm happy again.There have been modifications over the last thirty years: - they now have heat resistant plastic handles which are OK for low oven temperatures and, more importantly, OK for the dishwasher; a significant improvement on the old wooden handles - instead of the spout, they now have 'lips' to make pouring possible. The difference being the spout was on one side, the lips are on both sides, making the pans suitable for pouring when holding in either left of right hand (instead of only being able to pour when holding in your right hand) - the lids now have a steam vent hole; necessary as previously the spout had provided this function - they now have a lifetime guarantee, although if they last 30 years, the lifetime of the pans and my lifetime are probably a 'dead' heat :-) - there is a handle (in reality a wide stub) opposite the handle allowing them to be lifted using two hands, although you will need oven gloves to hold this metal stub.So, overall, excellent quality which should last my lifetime and with many improvements over the last three decades.Highly recommended - you will never regret purchasing these.

A quality bit of engineering

First, let me say that fitting this wall-mount, while reasonably straightforward, is not something you should attempt unless you are confident in your DIY capabilities, because of the possibility of an expensive catastrophe should your television fall off the wall. The instructions say that the supplied fittings must only be used straight into brick, concrete or wood with a maximum of 3mm of wall finishing. My wall is slightly different, being plasterboard over thermal blocks, but I used the supplied fixings anyway, and was impressed by the rigidity of the fixing even to this non-ideal medium. You can't use a spanner to tighten the supplied bolts, because the heads are recessed, so a size 12 socket wrench (as Vogel puts it) is essential. Also note that the wallmount must be fitted exactly vertically, because that's the one thing you can't adjust afterwards, and holding the heavy arm against the wall with a spirit level and a pencil to mark the drill holes probably makes it a two-person job.Fitting the television to the arm requires first that you attach a mounting plate to the back of the television. The largest VESA mounting size you can use is 200mm x 200mm, and for this you need to bolt on two extension arms to the mounting plate. This plate then hangs onto the arm with just two bolts, one top and one bottom: and the bottom one doesn't take any weight, so the television is held in place by a single bolt and a little V-shaped ledge of metal. Sounds scary, but in fact it's a really secure fitting once it's been tightened up.I mounted a 37" Panasonic television onto this wallmount, and despite not having quite the right sort of wall, I'm pretty confident it's going to stay put. The arm is well constructed out of steel (with a black finish, not silver like in the picture) and is itself pretty heavy. Folding the arm away gets the back of the television about six inches away from the wall, but if you pull it out, you can turn the screen 90 degrees to the wall (or more if you want). Vertical tilt is only about ten degrees up or down, but that's adequate for most purposes.The arm is a bit stiff to move, and there is a potential for catching your fingers between the two halves of the arm as you fold it away, so it may be best to avoid this mount if you have young children. It's not exactly pretty, but it is smart: it looks like a piece of engineering. There are even a couple of steel cable clips to help you get your cables neatly back to the wall.I'm pretty pleased with this wallmount. It took a bit of effort to install, but the dual-arm operation means I have almost unlimited options for angling my television to view it from anywhere in the room.Note: there is a single-arm version of this wall mount, but this significantly reduces your flexibility for positioning the television (it has to move sideways if you push it back). Which mount you choose depends on what you need, but I'm glad I chose this more flexible option.

I bought this specifically because I wanted to mount a screen at nearly right angles to the wall, so I needed a longer than average arm. It's solidly built, looks good (it's not hidden away behind the screen, so that's important) and reasonably priced. What more do you want?

A nice mount that holds the projector nice and close to the ceiling with plenty of adjustment.A but fiddly to set up at first due to quite how close it is to the ceiling, makes it a bit tricky to get your hands in there.I have an Optoma projector which it fits to fine.

Neat but fiddly

This is probably the neatest and closest to the ceiling projector mount on the market and once assembled looks very slick.Attaching the top of the mount to the ceiling and the 'legs' and the bottom half of the bracket to the projector is very straight forward. However, connecting the two pieces together proved tricky in-situ (standing on ladder, head against ceiling, holding heavy projector and trying to get all the lugs located correctly before twisting and locking in place).Despite that, once fully assembled, the tilt adustment and clamp mechanism work well and the result is as neat as you can get.

The design is exactly as shown on the pictures; very nice.The size is also as stated.But i was disappointed to learn that the watch only shows12 ours; not 24. This was NOT stated in the advertisment.And the numbers are impossible to see when its dark.On the upside the band seem be be of very good quality leather.
