Love this pan!

Being an Asian I cook a lot and have been for the past 20 years. I have a set of thick based stainless steel pans which are not a known brand but are very good and I have been using them for past 10 years. I was looking for a wide and shallow pan for a while. After a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to buy the LE Creuset.I have been using the pan for the past 2 weeks and I am really enjoying cooking in it. It's a heavy pan but that's what I was expecting . The thing I love about it that unlike other cheaper stain less steel pans food doesn't stick to it easily (unless I keep the flame high). This means I can easily cook in less oil with great results.My old pans have part plastic handles that prevent the conduction of heat to the handle. The Le Creuset does not have this feature, hence I was worried that the handles would heat up easily. Although there is some heat conduction through the handle, it is less than I expected and I can tolerate it. One of things I was disappointed about this pan was the rivets inside of pan which secure the handles in place, but this is purely aesthetic, as I prefer a completely smooth interior. I had concerns with regards to the shape of the lid and its inability to keep the steam in while cooking. I was pleasantly surprised as the pan provides an adequate seal. It is easy to wash, it looks beautiful and the more I cook with it, the more I love it. So much so I am buying a few more. Overall, a lovely pan.

This is the second casserole I have bought from Le Creuset as they are amazing for cooking, high quality. I would love to have more of them.
