Well worth the money
By MP
I bought this doppler when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I'd had a previous early miscarriage and wanted some reassurance that everything was OK with the baby. Although the instructions say you can use it from 10 weeks, I didn't manage to hear the heartbeat until about 12 weeks. It takes a bit of practice to find the heartbeat at first, but now at 17 weeks I can find it within seconds and the doppler is really easy to use. Yes, it's expensive, but for me it's been totally worth it for the peace of mind it's given me. I expect I'll stop using it once I start feeling the baby kick, but it's definitely been money well spent.

Does what it promises. Fast delivery.

The Hi-bebe BT200 LCD picked up my 13 and a half week baby's heartbeat first time, with only a minute or two of fiddling about slowly with angles(and I must admit I'm a bit overweight). The backgroud noises and crackles as you move the probe about can be a bit off putting but it's not the end of the world. At first I could only hear my heartbeat through I guess arteries in that area but I knew it was too slow to be baby and sure enough, with a bit of patience I suddenly found a very distinct fast beat which could only be my little one! I searched very low, along the top of the bikini line and tilted the probe slightly down towards my pelvis. The heartrate monitor works only when you get a very clear signal and stay completely still - even then it it doesn't always work as I think baby is still quite small at the moment and if it or you move even the slightest the signal can drop. I expect it will be easier to use in the coming weeks and months but I was still impressed. My only real gripe is the packaging... The advertisment and sticker on the box says it's a new item however the unit and probe didn't come in any kind of sealed plastic?? I found that odd considering it's a medical/electronic/personal item for use on my own body. For this reason I'm not entirely convinced it wasn't a return/resale item. That aside, it looks clean, arrived on time and it works as well as I had expected. My parents live overseas and I was able to hold the phone to the speaker and they were shocked and overjoyed to clearly hear their grandchild's heartbeat in real time from the other side of the world :)

Good buy, worth the money

This doppler is great! Well worth the money. I started using it at 13-14 weeks took a little while to find the babies heart beat but now I am near 18 weeks I find it within seconds.Puts your mind at rest each time and also helps you bond before you can feel those little movements.
