Just What I Was Looking For

I wanted to pipe music from a stereo in the dining room into the kitchen without trailing wires between the rooms, in as long as it takes to boil a kettle I had achieved it with this nice bit of kit.The speakers are pleasingly sturdy bookshelf monitors which put out a deep bass which I feel that the flat panel wireless speakers available elsewhere would not be able to offer. The sound is generally very clear with no interferance noticable from the transmission, but it is perhaps a little muddy and indistinct in the midrange which is why I haven't given them the full 5 stars, but maybe thats being a bit picky as i haven't run them in yet and have only been listening to them for about 2 hours. These are the only wireless 'HI-FI' speakers I have seen.These probably aren't suitable for using as outdoor speakers for parties and the suchlike as they require a power supply (but you probably could manage to use them as long as you have a big extension cable). They are more suited as dedicated second room speakers or surround sound rear speakers. They are clearly intended for this pupose as they come supplied with wall mounting brackets.The remote functions well with volume / mute and input select (the reciever/transmitter has 4 channels)The transmitter can connect to line out or headphone socket of i-pod or hi-fi, and comes with connectors for both as well as its own power supply.One word of warning - as only the left speaker has the reciever and power supply, it is still neccessary to have a speaker wire trailing between the 2 speakers. Therfore this wireless speaker set has 1 power cable supplying the left speaker, and a wire joining the 2 speakers - which is probably preferable to needing 2 power supply leads.The speed of delivery from these guys was very impressive - early next day delivery, and at the time of writing 25% off - which means that they don't cost too much more than the poorer quality flat panel speakers.Overall very impressed - now have clear hi-fi sound in the kitchen - I'm off to do the washing up to the sound of thrash metal! (or radio 4 - i haven't decided)

the speakers are of a robust design ideal for semi outside use easy to set up and the sound is good to, the remote is very handy and the range is quite good traveling from the transmiter in the lounge to the receiver out on the patio through the closed door

as expected - quality high, setup easy. If you use an input lead which is long, you do get noticeable interference. The wireless worked very well though.
