Beautiful, delicate little watch

Well, that's mum's Christmas present covered - and very nicely, too! This watch shipped in rather a lot of packaging: Amazon carton, then a thin, generic, white cardboard box that had me worrying a little about the quality of the watch I'd ordered. I needn't have worried. Inside the white box, and under a layer of padded packing material lay a fairly inoffensive wood-look presentation box that is designed to allow the owner to use it as a proper jewellery box - the bottom has been felted and there is storage space inside for other items such as rings or earrings.The watch arrives wrapped in a plastic bag, presented on a pale-cream, faux-leather cushion and is accompanied by a booklet containing instructions and a 5-year guarantee. This booklet indicates that a fee of £5 (or 7.50 EURO) is required to cover return postage plus insurance for repairs conducted under the guarantee as well as details of purchase date/source/model number - so it's worth noting these immediately, as 48 months after the fact these details could be harder to access. This document also sets out a procedure for bracelet adjustment that's worth noting, as failing to follow set procedures might result in invalidation of the guarantee.The delicate watch strap is about 5mm wide at its widest, and perhaps 1mm deep. The link sections on the strap are cleverly etched with a diagonal pattern that makes sections appear matte/shiny depending on the direction of the light striking them. The oval watch face is roughly 5mm deep, 15mm across and 18mm top to bottom. The watch face is a matte silver that provides decent contrast to the gold hands and hour markings. Hours are marked with single strips of gold, with the exception of 12 - which is presented in Roman numeral format. The Accurist name is printed on the watch face, but the italic face 'gold' logo shown in the product photo is, thankfully, not present on the watch itself.Overall, this is a very nice thing.
