5Best In earphones
By Brian Mckechnie
In my hi fi I use Stax Omega Headphones, and found most in ear phones produced colored sound , either bright thin harsh, or bassy with poor mids and highs.I was so excited when these arrived, the day before i left for holiday. My first impression was these dont sound that great after inserting them into my ears from my ipod. Good mids, a bit bright on top, and hardly any bass.here is the most important thing with these phones. They come with about 6 or 7 sets of ear plugs, with differing materials. I spent 30 min trying them all out. When you get the perfect fit ( I found the expanding foam buds the best. You squeeze them into 1/4 size and quickly position into you rear. after about 10 secs they expand to your perfect ear fit.Now when you have them properly in place here is how they will sound. With high ripped tracks 192 or above, Bass is deep ,extended growls at extreme low frequencies and is effortless, Check out a good jazz fretless bass, you can hear every timbre.Midrange , vocals, all sount clear detailed , uncoloured, no harsheness.treble response again detailed, extended, all very natural. In summary, after my Stax Electrostatics, these are the best head phones i have heard. The sound is very uncolored, detailed, and efortless. I find I can listen to these for 6 or 7 hours (did on return flight) with no fatigue, or discomfort. Blocks outside noise by 90%, you can have a quick chat by switching on provided mic click.yeah these are very expensive, more than an 80 gig Ipod, but if you adore music and mega high quality, they are worth every penny.Cheaper than the Stax, I would strongly recommednd these Shure headphonesBru

5Simply the best.
By L. Noton
Quite simply the best sound i've ever heard. I use to have a pair of Sony EX71's which were ok - R.I.PI thought to myself: I commute a lot and like to listen to my music at work - so I'll invest in the best, most expensive in-ear headphones you can buy. These are simply stunning, I feel like I'm in the studio with Metallica at the moment.

5Superb sound
By Thomas Pedley
I was very skeptical at first as to how Shure could justify the price of these headphones. I previously thought that my V-Moda Vibe Duo - Neros produced high quality sound, so once these broke (the usual happened - the wire fatigued at the jack) I was quite stuck for choice. I didn't want to buy V-Modas again because of the build quality but nothing else really seemed as good as them for the price. I also read numerous reviews saying that Shures lack bass, which was quite off-putting. However, after trying them, I couldn't be happier.Yes, there isn't any punchy or over exaggerated bass with these headphones, but there is certainly enough. By "enough" I mean that when listening to music you get the full range of sound. The bass doesn't overpower the midrange and the highs aren't fatiguing. The best way to describe it is by saying that the sound is incredibly well balanced. These definitely aren't for people that just want thumping bass but rather for people who appreciate the whole sound spectrum when listening to music. The detail that you can pick up on with these earphones is amazing. Since using them, I've noticed things in songs that I previously hadn't, though with the good comes the bad - I can now more easily hear imperfections in recordings, encoding artefacts and even studio hiss is more apparent. If you happen to listen to any vocal tracks, it sounds like the narrative is being read to you live by someone standing right next to you.I was very much on the edge of purchasing these or some much cheaper headphones. If you find yourself in the same situation, I can recommend taking the plunge with my whole heart. I sincerely doubt that you will be disappointed.
