Best "arty thing" I've ever bought.

I have owned this set for about ten years now, and it has been in constant use yet looks as good as new. Unlike the smaller boxes, there is room for up to 5 brushes or a few pens/pencils in the centre space, very useful for field trips. While it's not pocket sized, it is pretty compact and slimline and beautifully constructed. It can take half pans too, I've removed a couple of whole pans in colours I never use and put in four half pans in the spaces. There is plenty of room for mixing colours and the wells in the lid are fairly deep. My neighbour has this same set but his is about forty years old and still in good nick, a design classic!

This is a traditional enamel watercolour box with whole pans. It should last a lifetime if cleaned after use and not allowed to rust.
