5Absolutely Stunning
By B. Walker
I've had the PLV-Z5 for two years now. It's continued stunning quality still amazes me, friends are left speechless with the combination of this plus a Playstation 3 with a quality Blu-Ray disc (Indiana Jones and the Kindgom of the Crystal Skull is an amazing transfer). It's on it's second lamp now, the first lasting 934 hours. I sold my 32" plasma to buy this which has a 145" diagonal throw on my wall. Out of the box the image presets are adequate but I would recommend tailoring it for your room. The remote control is small, the buttons are fairly close together but they are illuminated which helps in the dark. Has two HDMI, VGA, RGB and SVIDEO inputs. It also has a fantastic lens shift which means my Z5 is in the far right corner of the room but the image is completely central.Noise is minimal, but I have noticed that it has got louder over the last year, when using the 'Vivid' preset the fan speed jumps up slightly, but it is still unobtrusive and in no way interferes with viewing.I'd buy one again anyday! 10/10

5Legend
By Roberto Nike
This is a Legend model. Had put down PT-AE Series from Panasonic.Picture is Excelent, Connectivity Excelent, Construction Exclent. I dont know why the other reviews said the preformance had issues, maybe he got a bad one? Read anywhere on Intrnet about this projector, is its not the eyes of the beholder, its a fact, this devil rocks!!!Major Feture, the lens shift. It is amazing how much the picture will move, I reckon its because of the big lens. Also Being able to shift Horizontaly as well as Verticaly is a major pro. There are people claiming that this 720p Native model can oput down FullDH machines from today and I totaly agree. The motorised lens door is fantastic. It keep the dust away and gives a serious spec to the Projector. You will not find that model out there easy, people who have it will not give it away.If you serious about having a great machine, with lamps on the cheap side, then if you spot one get it!

5A Projector with a Difference...........
By J Quigley
I purchased mine at the start of 2008 and it gets used for watching films, sport, playing console games, showing pictures and video. It does need some adjustments out of the box to get the picture quality set up correctly, but with the help of Digital Video Essentials or Avia calibration DVDs this is not difficult. Connectivity on this project is also excellent.WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT THIS PROJECTOR THOUGH IS that being an LCD projector (with a superb contrast ratio thanks to the dynamic IRIS control) it has a lens mechanism that allows you to project the image at an offset angle so that the projector doesn't need to be located centrally in the room. Instead it can be permanently located in the back corner of the room out of the way and when you want to use it all you have to do is switch it on. No messing around setting it up or having to have something obtrusive suspended from your ceiling or in the centre of the room!Due to the quality of this projector most of the time you can operate on the eco lamp setting which has two benefits 1/ it extends the lamp life, and 2/ it reduces the heat output & fan noise. With this projector, a decent screen and a good home cinema surround sound system you'll wonder why you ever went to the cinema to see films when you can a better viewing experience in the comfort of your own home.
