Plastic or Stainless Steel ?

When installing a shorepower mains circuit on board you have to fit a shorepower socket to receive the mains from the marina 240 volt supply. There are 2 options, plastic or marine grade stainless steel, the cost for a stainless steel inlet socket is around twice the price of a plastic one - but always fit the stainless one by Marinco, it will last the life of the boat and look far better than a plastic one. You will also easily break plastic sockets, especially in cold weather as they become brittle.
