Cheapest on the market

Bought it from here because it was cheapest on the web. All the features, packaging are standard as you would buy it anywhere else. Go for it!

A fair piece of kit

Torq connectiv is a fair piece of kit/software for those of you who want to enter into the digital realm of mixing. The setup itself is a simple process and for those who have issues, the m-audio website offers video tutorials to help along the way. In order to get the full benefit of the dj/sampler interface, I would suggest you take a fair chunk of time to read the user guides to get the best out of this kit. I won't go into the details now as it would take up far too much time, but I can't emphasise enoug, the importance of the documentation. Equally important are the software patches/updates that Avid (m-audio) release. Pay close attention to these as this could mean the difference between a working system without problems, and one that drives you to distraction. As for the bread and butter which is mixing, the software does an adequate job but be aware of BPM speeds that are way out of range. There is a function to half/double this but really the software should be accurate enough for you no to engage this. There are a lot of functions in the software that you'll never use and some that you'd like to use, but have no idea about! Again, I can't stress enough the documentation (and the forums that have sprung up) to refer to as you'll be going back a fair few times. Overall it's a solid performer but I can't help feeling Avid (m-audio) have spent too much time concentrating on the feature rich software and not on the basics that are a fundamental for a novice/serious dj. There are other on the market that offer the tightness that is a must, (serato) but torq connectiv and Avid have placed themselves in a affordability bracket that will appeal to most peoples pockets, for this I commend them but I myself and other serious dj's, will always lean to the side of serato but that being said, I would recommend this to the novice dj or dj on a budget as it's a good introduction into the digital dj world.
