5Very sturdy and holds an extremely heavy laser printer
By K B
Requirements:I needed a good quality heavy duty laser printer stand with storage, this trolley seemed to fit the bill and it has proved rightly so. My laser printer (Dell 3100cn + extra drawer) weighs an absolute ton which will easily bend 3cm thick wooden bench top, and I loathe having to move the thing around when the need arises.Pros:This trolley has large lockable front castor wheels and is made entirely from sheet steel panels and 3cm diameter steel tubing. The only wooden part is the main top shelf coated with melamine-type material, none of that cheapo paper-coated trash which is all the rage these days. On their own, the panels seem strangely flimsy before assembly but afterwards the strength feels second-to-none. The middle adjustable shelf and the bottom shelf are also both made from sheet metal. There is a side-mounted document holder (again made from sheet steel) which simply hangs with hooks into the holes in the side panels and can be placed anywhere you like either left or right. Storage space underneath is very good ant nothing can fall out the back or off the sides as it's all enclosed. The shelves are each rated up to approx. 23kg (50lb) each. The wooden top, although quite thin, is rated up to approx. 45kg (100lb), the metal framework of the trolley takes the weight of the printer.Cons:Assembly instructions aren't the best but at least there's not a great deal parts to put together. Although, it does seem a little too easy to strip the threads on the screw holes so you need to be careful to not over tighten the screws. I feel bolts would have been a better fixing option rather than screws and for the price I would have thought this should be the case.Grievances (with delivery man):I had to unbend a couple of corners on the shelves because it slipped out of the delivery man's hands from shoulder height and it dropped on one corner whilst taking it from his van - like thanks for that... - mercifully though nothing else was damaged.Summary:I would definitely recommend this stand, robust construction, very stable, can hold a great deal of weight and doesn't have a huge footprint. Works for me, and I'm a seriously fussy old git who hates lifting heavy printers.

4It does what I wanted. A good buy.

It was easy to assemble and sturdy. Just what I wanted until I tried to put in the adjustable shelf which did not fit the space!! Anyway, in retrospect, I could not have used the printer on the bottom shelf if the shelf had been in as the paper tray is at the back and it is difficult enough to load the paper even without the shelf!
