Product Description

This larger Cooks Knife is ideal for chopping all types of produce in the kitchen. It has the same features as the smaller version that we also stock, but is capable of cutting larger objects thanks to its deeper blade and increased strength. It sits neatly in the hand and features the same riveted handle as the rest of the Lion range.

· Sabatier Lion Cooks Knife with a non-stain carbon steel blade
· The brass riveted handles are constructed from heat resistant Polyacetale Resin and are seamless making them extremely hygienic
· Each knife features a full Tang to produce perfect balance when in the hand, and a bolster to prevent fingers from sliding along the blade when in use
· This Cooks Knife is part of the extensive Sabatier Lion range, as is favoured by many professional and celebrity chefs
· Blade dimensions approximately: 20cm or 8"
· As with all professional knives, we would recommend that they are washed thoroughly straight after use, are sharpened frequently following the manufacturers guidelines and are stored in a suitable environment which is neither harmful to the knife, yourself or those around you
· This knife is not Dishwasher Safe
· This knife may only be sold to persons of 18 years or more

4A classic of cooking
By William Templar
I am a chef so I demand alot from my equipment, and a good Sabatier knife in the hand is worth to in the kitchen sometimes. The knives are very well made and an excellent mid-range knife to buy if your on a bit of a budget or just don't fancy paying an extra £20-£30 for a Wusthof or Global knife. Sabatier really are a staple in cuisine. If looked after this knife will never let you down and will last years, indeed there is an old 12" Sabatier in a utnesil bucket in my kitchen which must have been kicking round for at leat a few years and even that one is still in good shape even after the neglect it's suffered. On the down side they are a heavy knife and will become demanding on the hands if used continuously, espeially the large ones (8" and over), but thats the only con, and you'll get used to it. The reason why I have given it four stars instead of five is simply because it it is a mid-range and there are better knives out there (though not in this price bracket).Great for the professional kitchen and great at home, highly recommended.

5Scalpel sharp carbon steel knife
By B. Adamson
Carbon steel knives are hard to find, yet they take the best edge and are a joy to use in the kitchen. I found mine in a real-life store in Brighton, where the sales-person explained that the reason that carbon steel is less popular is because it isn't dishwasher safe. It goes rusty and the wooden handle splits. Well hello everyone: no good knife should go in a dishwasher! And this is a lovely knife: beautifully balanced and scalpel sharp - a condition I'll maintain using a good quality steel. Just wash it by hand after you've used it and it will last you a lifetime.
