An Ingenious Piece Of Equipment

If you still have a PSone console then here's a ingenious piece of equipment that I'd strongly recommend purchasing. The PSone LCD Screen.This screen can be connected to the back of a PSone (the slim console, not the original bigger PSX), making it more portable, and allowing you to play games without the need for a TV. The screen is very simple to connect. You just plug it into the back of your console, tighten the screws with a screwdriver, and away you go. The screen also has buttons you can press to adjust the brightness of the screen and the volume.The picture quality is brilliant. Game text is easy to read, and the graphics flow just as smoothly as if you were watching them on a regular TV.One of my biggest concerns before I purchased this screen was the sound quality. To be honest I was expecting the built-in speakers to produce something that resembled the voice on the other end of a mobile phone. But I needn't of worried. The sound quality matches that of the picture quality (i.e: brilliant), and everything can be heard nice and clearly.At the time of writing this review there were no PSone LCD Screens available for purchase on Amazon. PSone owners, if you find any of these screens up for sale, buy one. You'll just love using it.

The Wonders of the PSOne

In 2000 Sony released a redesigned Playstation 1 called the PSOne. And it had a clip-on screen available!The PSOne sceen was meant to plug into the back of the PSOne and replicate the ports. By this, I mean you'd then plug the power jack into the screen, therby connecting it to the PSOne. Same with the audio/video jack. You can consider it a "pass-through" of sorts. You'd then have this little semiportable Playstation 1 unit. I have Tested the Audio and Video and for the size and price I was suprised to see that its Very Good, I do think the price should be about 35 - 45 pounds as it is for an old system and I have seen Other sellers Sell it for £130 which is more than the console.Buy This Screen As in 10 Years + This will be a Rare item and people will pay any amount for a rare item

NICE PERFUME

How on earth can you rate a perfume? One person loves it, yet another hates it, its all in the mind of the buyer. I personally can see why it was the favorite of Clark Gable, not that I am he and never will be, but it has a very pleasant fragrance in my opinion and certainly a whole lot better than I will smell in 40 years time!

coleman petrol lamp

great lamps works well however after a while the fuel injector will start to clog and the lamp will become dim or wont start then you need a new genorator, to avoid this every once in a while pop a few drops of car petrol engine fuel injector cleaner in your petrol ,this will unclog the injector and hey presto keep your lamp running at full power for years.latest update after lots f testing ive found the best fuel to use that burns well and will not clog up the injector is panel wipe as used in auto body shops ,theres no adittives in it to gum up the internals .paint supply shops or your freindly body shop will stock, pretty cheap fuel and worth hunting some out .

Petrol Power

This classic Coleman is a super efficient and really bright lantern. Simple to use and much more economical on 95 RON unleaded than compressed propane lamps. The lamp comes with 2 mantles - easy to tie on but very fragile once burned, I found some mantles online for about £1 each, I doubt the mantles will last too well on a car journey on British roads so spares are a must if you plan to travel. This lamp is clean and long burning. It will give off some soot and fumes until reaching operating temperature. I bought the lamp for use in the garden and for camping in the summer, it will also be useful in the event of power cuts. I am confident using the lamp indoors because although it emits carbon monoxide it must logically be very little due to the economy and efficiency of combustion. Candles also produce CO but I am not aware of any danger other than the obvious risks of fire. Having said that I still wouldn't be in a very confined, unventilated space all night with one of these lit!

Great application BUT

read on for the BUT below. First let me cover the good stuff, because there is an awful lot of good stuff and only a fraction of it is covered below.It's Apple, so it combines a great looking customizable interface with functionality. Anyone familiar with using iPhoto will see initial similarities. Fundamentally, Aperture is a RAW processing program and it does exactly what it says on the package - you can make a whole host of basic adjustments without degrading the image and you can have mutiple versions of the same image all with different adjustments, without having to save several different copies under different names taking up inordinate amounts of space. Aperture just has one actual copy of the image and then saves all the different adjustments, taking up a fraction of the space. You can also have the same image in a number of different Albums or Books and again it's just the 1 copy of the image taking up space on your hard drive. Aperture is packed full of excellent tools and features. Special mention has to go to the monochrome mixer which is superb, I virtually never use the mono tools in Photoshop anymore, the quality in Aperture is far superior and much easier to use. Editing and sorting your images is quick, easy and fully customizable. The book publishing tool is also a great feature of Aperture (also available in iPhoto, but this is much better).Overall, Aperture is intuitive, powerful and great value for money...BUT, and here's why it only gets 3 stars: you need a very fast computer to run Aperture effectively. There's a reason why the graphic on the System Set Up page of the manual shows a Mac Pro, because that's what you're going to need to avoid excruciating thinking-time after each click of the mouse. But how many of us can really afford to buy a new computer just for the sake of one application?? I recently bought a 20" imac intel duo-core and have both Aperture and CS2 installed and when both are open (which they are most of the time) I have to close all other applications, including Mail, and my mac slows to a crawl. Simple tasks like selecting an image to work on requires an average of 30 secs thinking time; opening an image to use in CS2 can take around 1.5 mins (40MB tiff files). Applying adjustments in Aperture is stymied by 30 secs + of thinking time, which is incredibly frustrating as everytime you tweak the slider you're waiting another 20 secs to see the result. Aperture open on its own (and I mean on its own, close all other apps incl. iTunes, Mail, Safari) works tolerably well, thinking time is much reduced.I saw Aperture being demonstrated at this year's Focus on Imaging and the speaker kept saying the words "instant" and "bang" e.g. "using Aperture, adjustments can be applied instantly, just move the slider and, bang! the adjustment is instantly applied" and in the demo it was. In reality though and without a Mac Pro, doing stuff in Aperture is far from instant, more like instant + some thumb twirling (+ tea break, if you have CS2 open too).So to summarise: excellent program but you need the hardware to match, which let's face it, is on the pricey side. If you're prepared to put up with the thinking time, buy it, or if you have cash to burn, buy it and a nice new Mac Pro to run it on.

Great software

I bought this to use with my Canon EOS 400D and I have to say this is a good piece of software.It makes downloading the pictures from the camera and organizing them very easy, no fiddling with different tools to do your work. Also reviewing, rating and rejecting pictures is very easy and intuitive.The stacks feature is neat, meaning that you can stack multiple shots you've taken from the same subject and then pick your preferred one. The others will be kept in the stack as reserve/fallback shots. Work that would take me hours before (comparing the shots and selecting the best ones) I did in minutes with Aperture.The editing tools are intuitive and easy to use and it integrates with the Mac apps and .Mac to allow you to publish the pictures very easily. It won't give you advanced image editing tools like Photoshop does, though, so depending on what you have to do you will still need Photoshop (I'm running PS CS3 now), but it does minimize the need for it in a great deal.I'm running it on a MacBook Pro with a Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, the NVidia GeForce 8600m GT GPU and a 7200 RPM 200GB hard drive and it performs well, even though my laptop gets quite hot and noisier than usual with the fans working full time. It is not sluggish though and considering that this is a laptop after all it is pretty good performance.

the best

We bought this stove over ten years ago, we have carried it all over europe by motocycle and car, cooked every thing on it from toast to fish and chips, sunday roasts the lot, the little fuel tank lasts for ages, once we ran out of petrol in the middle of a field in germany no proplem took some from the bike, and tea was cooked, it also burns hotter than the gas stoves, we no longer go camping, but use the little green coleman in the garden, batted and scratched but still going strong.

But quality, buy once!

Having served 23 years in the British Army I was lucky enough to exercise in Norway during winter time (Jan - Mar) where night time temperatures could drop as low as -28c. If their was one piece of equipment that never let me down and proved to be reliable and hardy it was the Coleman peak stove, therefore when I was looking for a camping stove to use back in the UK the Coleman double burner looked perfect for the job. The cooker is all self contained and there's no need to take a bulky gas bottle with you and it fires up first time every time. Before I leave home I fill up the burner's reservoir and a small sigg bottle from the unleaded fuel can which I use for my petrol lawn mower; the sigg bottle fits inside the cooker along with the funnel. This amount of fuel can last 4 - 5 days. When in operation the flame can burn so hot(if turned up to the max) that the burner glows red and it takes no time at all to boil a kettle.Until recently we hadn't been camping for 8 years so the burner had been on a cold damp concert floor in the garage. The metal case had become rusy so I rubbed it back to the metal and resprayed it with Hammerite smooth green and it looks as good as new. Point to note: even though it hadn't been used since 2003 it fired up first time. If you want a quality cooker that won't let you down, won't cost you the earth in gas and lets you cook bacon and eggs and beans at the same time then look no further - you won't be disappointed.

I bought this for a friend who attends lots of 2CV ralleys in France. It's about half the cost of buying it in France. He sleeps for up to a week in his 1964 Azam and this is perfect for him, along with the Coleman dual fuel lamp. His friends all want one now!

Impressive

Very surprised by these speakers. Bought them for an audio installation in a school chapel; large reverberant space. They're probably not the best choice for that (though they do pretty well), but space and lack of power meant I couldn't get anything bigger. I was expected plasticky, cheap build. These speakers are very well made, very solid, quite heavy. They also sound fantastic; as near field monitors they really are superb. Very clear and precise. I would give them 5* if they had a slightly lower bottom end, frequency-wise.

Wonder cream

I was given this cream as a gift by my beautician daughter. I was very sceptical but am now a total believer. I have always had 'baggy' eyes, which have become worse in recent years due to I'll health. I can honestly say that the bags under my eyes are greatly reduced after less than two weeks of using ths cream once a day. Half a pump is plenty for under both eyes, so the bottle should last a fair amount of time. It is expensive and I'm not a huge wage earner but I will definitely be buying more when I run out.

A little goes a long way

Another super product from the Elemis Pro Collagen line up. A little of this light, non greasy cream goes a long way, this 15ml bottle should last in at least 6 months. A half pump is more than enough patted around the eye area. I've been using the product for several years now and it seems to be doing a good job of hydrating the eye area. The pump is an excellent way to deliver the product, it's hygienic and easy to control the amount you get. I believe the pump is designed to do a good job of emptying the bottle so minimises wastage. I've always found tubes to be wasteful as you have to cut open the tube to get the residual product out then it spoils within a couple of days when there's enough left for several weeks. Pots and jars do away with wastage but don't keep the product as fresh as you are constantly exposing the cream. Highly recommended.

Coleman Sportster Single Burner Fuel Stove

Perfect for its intended use. Purchased as a gift for a fisherman for making a hot cup of tea/coffee or making a 1 pan meal - warming up soup or frying bacon/eggs for a sandwich etc.. Lightweight & compact, came with a carry case. Also ideal for going out for the day to make a hot fresh cuppa, boils very quickly. Dual fuel, we use petrol which is cheaper to run. Highly recommended product..... I purchased the twin burner for my fisherman husband last year and he loves it. We also have the colman pans to go with the stove.

Coleman 533 Stove

I've had one of these for more years than I care to remember, must be knocking on for 15 years or so. It's never failed, always started first time and always had very good adjustability. It's a bit robust for backbacking but a great base camp stove, although I personally have backpacked miles with it, but I was big and strong then!! I have always run it on unleaded fuel and had no problems at all. Because I'm lazy I have never oiled anything or carried out any form of maintainance on it at all. A superb piece of kit and much cheaper than many other offerings. I would buy another one but I don't need to as my current one simply will not go wrong.

Coleman Sportster Stove

I have had a Coleman Stove since I can't remember when. This one is my latest and works very well indeed. I only replaced my old one as this one runs on unleaded and the old one needed pricey Coleman Fuel. Quick to boil, unleaded is much cheaper than any stove fuel on the market and, of course, available anywhere. However, if you are backpacking with this stove the much more expensive Coleman fuel is maybe better as it is almost odour free, which petrol is not. It is very stable in use and can work on uneven surfaces on its three pull out legs. It doesn't leak at all as the filler cap is very well sealed.The stove has never let me down except when I forgot to oil the primer pump. Then it just wouldn't pump any air into the stove; it won't work unless it is primed by pumping. It needs to be oiled with 3 in 1 one every season and then no worries.One good thing about Coleman is they do spares so, if the stove gets damaged, it is repairable.I have to say it is a bit bulky and more so with the plastic storage box. The earlier version was stored in an aluminium box which had a handle and doubled as a saucepan. It was more compact. Therefore, it is not much use for ultra lightweight camping, I suppose. However, it might compare well with carrying a stove and two canisters, which you need, as you can't tell when the gas is going to run out. The Coleman can be filled up before each trip and will last for three or four days without refilling. Even then you could probably get someone to let you have some petrol to fill it up again! For anyone with a car or a bike this stove is undoubtedly the best and most convenient around. It is great for picnics,As far as filling goes, this can be difficult as the aperture is small and you can't see the level. So get the special Coleman filler funnel which makes it dead easy and prevents any spillage.A good and rugged piece of outdoor kit which will last a lifetime.

This is an excellent little unit. The presets are great and any unwanted presets can be overwritten by user if required when supplied empty user slots are full. Footpedal can control stop start , patch change or song sequence etc. and is programmable so can be used as a kick drum or anything else. There is a groove mode so presets can be played on keypads for improptu session playing of songs.( If you have the memory for it ) Unit is small with friendly GUI and remembers current settings after switching off- a huge bonus after years of frustration with Boss Dr 660.. Sounds are completely acceptable for gig or even studio use with lots of useful electo and percusion extras. I also have the streetbox but use this more in practice. Pads light up when hit and are very responsive. Battery option can be be handy for doing work on the move.Downside - only that there is Midi - In but no Midi thru or Out. This is a real nuisance because you can't bulk dump loops or songs to midi memory or use the presets to build your sequencer drum track from. With midi-out it would have been killer so 4+ stars.

Rubies Deluxe Velour Santa Suit

This is a very good product and value for money. It looks quite authentic, is lined and warm. I too am 6ft and 15st, it fits well and although one-size will naturally adjust to fit all. Good quality fabric. Description of item did not state that beard & wig were included, would have been helpful to know. Inner packaging was a plastic zip-up container, zip broke almost the moment we touched it. Shame, it would have been useful for storage.

We purchased this Item to replace two electric kettles at the back of Church. much easier all round however the tap is a bit small and therefore filling a teapot is slow. filling individual cups/mugs great.Amazon order handling as fast as the Urn itself!!
