Our first trangia cost £5 from a charity shop, we used it everytime we went camping, 2 years ago we bought a gas conversion kit for it. Now we had the choice, gentle heating with the meths burns or rapid heat with the gas burner, the gas burner is much better for boiling water when you want that first cup of coffee of the day.Because more of us go camping we decided to get a second Trangia and didn't hesitate to buy one with the gas burner included.The burner preheats the gas so these stoves work at very low temperatures, I have been caught out in the past when camping at minus 7 with a different make of stove, it couldn't evaporate the gas to burn it efficiently.It all packs neatly inside the windshield, there is enough room to stow a trangia kettle in there too. This kit as absolutely brilliant.
