It's just what we wanted and the fact that you can disconect the mains power lead is a big plus as it does not lay across the table during meal time.it gets very hot in just 8 minutes like it says and stays hot for some time then becoming quite warm.very very pleased.

Does an excellant job of keeping things warm as said in previous reviews. When I opened the box I thought the cable was on the short side but of coarse you can unplug it just prior to use. On the downside the surface catches very easily with the rough surfaces that dishes tend to have although this is purely cosmetic. Beware this is very large and you should ask yourself :- do you have somewhere to suitable to store it. When it arrived it was slightly bent off square although did straighten out once left on an even surface.
