Excellent value walkabout lens for 450D

I debated and hesitated before buying this lens for my 450D. I was using different lenses and got sick of carrying them around with me on holiday. Photography trips were fine but I wanted a "vacation lens".I got this and I have been very impressed with the results. Range is excellent. As long as you tolerate the limitations with this type of lens such as slow aperture at longest length then its fine.I am very critical of things I buy and this lens suits my needs perfectly. So much so I sold my Tamron 2.8 17-50mm. Build quality fine for the money and reasonably sharp. I would have liked VC, IS or OS on a lens of this type. But again for the money I can live without it as long as I remember to use a fast shutter speed.

I purchased this item for my camera so that it would serve to cover a wide range of distance without the need to change lenses. It is a very good lense and would recommend it.

I have found this item a very good lens, one I can use when out for the day without taking a veriety of lenses. Good wide angle and zoom.The delivery was brilliant, arrived weel before estimated date and was packaged very well. I was so pleased that it arrived before Christmas. Would recommend this seller.
