Very adjustable punch - heavier duty than standard

Having used one of the lighter models in the office, I needed something capable of punching to US standards. Unlike the UK norms of 2- or 4-ring binders with holes separated at 80mm centres, the US uses 3-holes with a wider separation. There is no commercial product that I then knew that would work with the 3-ring binders I had bought for some non-office purposes and with the 2- or 4-hole UK ones I more often used.This is heavier duty than is standard and with a rather larger throat so will take a substantial number of sheets, some card-stock and plastics. There is a pull-out adjustable guide marked for many standard paper sizes so that centring is assured. The screw locks above each die allow it to be moved to wherever you need or even beyond the width of some paper sizes. Obviously the holes are of fixed size and not of a size as is used in the once popular Filofax which, according to some, is making a strong comeback.There used to be a product made just for Filofax pages, which may still be available for those who need them as the format is still used by some diaries and other products.Punching 30 sheets of paper will require more effort than would 5 but this machine is up to the task. It is not cheap but you are paying for adjustability and quality of construction.

I needed a punch suitable for the continental A5 standard and there are not many manufacturers who can provide them at a reasonable price. As usual, Amazon came up with the goods.
