An innovative and unique studio easel which has been created for use with all forms of media. It can be tilted backwards into a horizontal position for warercolours and the application of picture varnishes or forward for pastel and oil and acrylic painting. In addition to this tilt function, the whole canvas carriage can be moved up and down meaning the artist can stand or sit when painting. This easel can be folded down flat for easy storage. Just what I wanted

This easel is just what I was looking for. It's well constructed, stable, versatile for using with different media and folds away neatly for easy storage. Delivery speed exceeded expectations - ordered on Wednesday and in my house on Friday. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing and this model seemed to suit my needs size-wise and offer best value for money. I wasn't disappointed!

Got a bit battered in the post, but the product was undamaged, no construction needed (had got screwdriver out in preparation . . .) lovely finish on an easy to use product at a reasonable price. It was a present for my Mum who is very pleased with it.

The Loxley Essex Studio Easel

This easel is very good value when bought it at a sale price. It's not quiet as big as I had thought but does the job perfectly and would be ideal if you want a very versatile studio easel that fits in a relatively small space and can easily fold up. It comes in two parts ready to assemble with the bolts supplied in a plastic bag. The finish is in natural beech wood and could do with a protective varnish or polish. I treated it with a natural wax which much improved the finish and made the canvas carrier slide easier. It's quiet stable and not too heavy to move. It can be used while sitting down or standing, just slide the canvas up or down the carrier. The canvas carrier will also tilt right over to horizontal making it ideal for water colour or varnishing where you need to keep the canvas flat. To sum up, it is nearly perfect but could do with some minor improvements.
