Excellent, functional, pleasure to use

The remote control is a must for all Sonos owners. Its got a great clear screen, is functional and logical.Its very well built and with it you can easily control a number of zone players in your house. I use it to control 5 zone players in a 7 bedroom house and its brilliant. The battery life is excellent and i recommend buying the charger cradle as well - this way you can just pop it into the cradle when idle and it charges seamlessly. There are built in motion detectors such that it goes on automatically when there is motion in the room - perfect wake up from sleep mode. This is just one example of the many cool features. A must buy, a 5 star buy!

Big, heavy and expensive - buy an itouch

When I first bought this controller with the bundle 150 I thought it was great. There was a good colour screen that showed album artwork and everything was of a great build quality. Unfortunately I then started to use the scroll wheel to search for tracks in Napster - scrolling across a virtual keyboard to find a letter and repeating ended up giving me repetetive strain on my thumb! Any why cant "space" be one of the quick buttons??!!Fortunately Sonos have launched the sonos application on the iphone/itouch which is infinitely better. Touch screen typing, instant search results coming up as the first letter is typed and mini album artworks displayed by each track or album entry during a search. The Iphone is also lighter, sleeker and quicker than the controller.I liked the controller, now I barely use it. Save some cash, by an iphone/itouch and get a vastly better experience.

I'm very pleased with Sonos. My current system configuration is as follows:1) My Arcam amp is connected to sonos ZP80 which is wired to zoom router (Ethernet cable)2) Buffalo link station live 500 GB connected to Sonos ZP80 via Ethernet cableMy previous configuration (not supported by Sonos) before I bought the Link Station live was as follows:1) ZP80 connected to amplifier and to zoom ADSL x6 router2) Buffalo external HDD streams music wirelessly from laptop via zoom router to ZP80. This config work 99% (probably due to router issues tather than sonos) of the time but you need to have the laptop on.I bought my Sonos in the States as it's cheaper out there.
