Excellent harmoniser in spite of a design flaw

I have had this for a quite a while but only recently started to get to grips with it and use it live. It does work straight out of the box with pre-sets but the manual is a must-read (several times !) to get the best out of it for your own voice. Though the manual is fairly good its rather basic and I have found internet forums to contain invaluable tips. The design flaw is that the pedals are all in line and in plastic. In line means that it is very easy to hit the wrong pedal and either get the wrong effect or turn on the tuner which mutes the guitar, very embarassing in the middle of a song. This can be quite easily remedied by sticking a 30cm long piece of wood to the harmony pedal maybe with velcro so that the harmony pedal is effectively isolated from the others. Alternatively an expression pedal will also solve the problem. Another point is that there is no USB connection so the software can't be updated.Otherwise I am very happy with the unit, the harmonies are great and have enabled to me to expand my repetoire with more harmony based songs. The decoupling effect helps to make the harmonies sound very realstic, just like backing singers. It's also a good mixing unit and if input to the sound board or amplifer are liimted, everything can be mixed through one output. I have had quite a few compliments when using it, particularly from other musicians (the audience thinks there are other singers somewhere !).Obviously the price had been reduced as a new model is out which has resolved the pedal problem, made the unit more robust and added some minor improvements. At half price this is really a bargain, excellent for a singer/guitarist or a band, it just needs looking after if it is to be used every night or on tour. I was happy with it at the full price so I highly recommend it.
