Doesn't ship with a UK plug

Bought this selector to connect games consoles to the TV. It does not come with a UK plug, only a European plug. Contacted Amazon, they sent me another unit, still with only a European plug. When I contacted them they said sorry, nothing we can do. Notice inside box states warranty is void if you use a plug other than the one sent with the unit.Operation of the unit isn't great, often get a "No Signal" displayed on the tv and have to switch channels a few times to get it to work. Remote is small and easily lost. Plastic buttons on the unit feel cheap and easily breakable.Sound quality seems fine, as does picture quality.

HDMI Selector Review

I used to use a Joytech component video switch as I had an Xbox and SkyHD with a surround sound system Then Sky replaced my box for one without component outputs and I was stuffed.I needed an HDMI/TOShttp://amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NJZTCW/?tag={bouquinfrance-21} switch, and the search was a little frustrating. Most HDMI switches assume you dont need seperate audio - or they are insanely expensive. So it was a relief to find this bit of kit.Setup was straightforward, plug and go. The colors of the unit complement the SkyHD/360 Elite. The unit stays cool, which is a relief for a 360 owner. Switching from one source to another is fast, with little signal distortion - I occasionally see a message on the xbox stating "hdcp connection restored".The remote is very small and thin - taking one Li battery. The buttons are plastic-covered microswitches. The remote can be a little insensitive, you need to hold down the buttons an point it at the switcher, but the Joytech remote was worse so I cant complain.

This HDMI selector is excellent

As far as HDMI selectors go, this has a few things on it's side.It is smaller than most, has more features than most and is cheaper than most.It has 4 ports, each with an optical input. It also has an HDMI and optical output. This is excellent for poeple with amps that only have HDMI video pass through and as such, the audio needs input via optical. Digiboxes like SKY HD also need a separate optical output along with the HDMI out to work fully also. This box handles it all brilliantly. Fully compliant to all HDMI standards. It works and it works. HDMI will not vary in quality just because you spend £200 on a selector. The signal works or it does not.DO NOT BE LED TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE.
