Easy and effective

A well built machine that is simple to use with very clear instructions, not that much is need in the way of instructions as it is so easy to use.It can handle pouches from 80 to 250 microns (Fellowes produce five pouches in 80, 100, 125, 175 and 250 microns), and up to A3 in size. It is quick and the results are excellent. It is quite a large piece of equipment, and it does require space around it especially for the pouches as they emerge from the machine as they need to be allowed to come out unhindered and be left flat on the table to cool.Fellowes produce pouches in a range of sizes from very small up to A3, and they (not surprisingly) recommend using only Fellowes pouches. These can be expensive, but some be can found quite reasonably priced on Amazon, or a quick web search will throw up some good price offers.

I'm used to using much smaller and much cheaper laminators. The Venus A3 is a much more professional laminator aimed at office/business use. It is fairly compact, easy to use, and offers much more scope than cheaper products. Being able to laminate A3 documents is something I have wanted to do for ages, and the Venus does an excellent job, and very quickly too. The large LCD display makes operation intuitive, and when you need to clean the machine it is simplicity itself. No need to unplug and put away because the Venus A3 shuts down into sleep mode shortly after you have finished with it. During sleep mode it uses virtually no power at all. Also, unlike cheaper models, you are not likely to burn your hands as easily, or end up with expensive failed attempts. This is by no means a cheap machine, but it compares well with other products that have A3 capability. I would recommend for use in an office environment, and I believe it would be especially useful for schools and colleges. So,this is a very good product indeed, although the initial outlay to pruchase and the consumables are expensive. It should also be noted that if they do go wrong outside of the 2 year warranty, they are often uneconomical to repair.

This is the 3rd Fellowes laminator purchased for a busy school. It is easy to use and reliable. Highly recommended.
