Water Pump
By Brian Muckleston
I found this pump to be adequate for emptying a water butt, it was not powerful enough to allow spraying of vegetable or flower beds. You could only use for a flow of water, not enough pressure.Draper 350W 230V Submersible Water Butt Pump With Float Switch

Read this if you need to pump uphill
By BC
You need this information BEFORE you buy the pump. It is in fact on page 6 of the instructions for use manual you get with the pump. The formula required is, the approximate Horizontal Distance = (maximum total head - measured working head height) x 10.In my case I was using the pump to transfer water from a butt at the bottom to a butt at the top of my garden, a height of 4.5M.The maximum total head height of the pump was 12M (as advertised). Therefore, 10(12M - 4.5M) = 75M maximum pumping distance. As it is only 25M to the top of my garden, there was more that enough pressure to do the job easily.( I think it takes approximately 15mins to transfer 200 litres.)

more oomph needed
By Paul Morris
This little butt pump does everything it should but without enough oomph to reach the top of my garden.Another 100 watts would have been useful.Good value for money though.
