Garage Rack and Workbench set
By Joe
The garage rack and worbench set was exactly what I was looking for but I was a little concerned at first because the dimentions were not included in the Amazon advert. I studied the picture with the beautiful young lady advertising the product and realised that they should be ok in relation to her size, as long as she is not too short obviously! It all arrived very neatly packed, was very easy too assemble, was perfect for my garage and are excellent space savers! It is also very easy to add extra racks ect. For anyone wishing to purchase this product here are the dimentions; The Racks are 1780mm high, 900mm wide and the shelves are 300mm deep.Workbench is 900mm high, 1400mm wide and 600mm deep. The bench is also very strong.

THIS IS THE ONE! Don't bother with cheaper/other solutions!
By Simon J Stuart
I am a man of many hobbies: elecronics, computers, motorcycles, DIY and generally anything productive you can imagine. Productivity demands organization, which in turn demands sturdy and efficient storage space and robust working furniture. This kit provides that and more!In my life I have purchased a vast assortment of pre-assembled and flat-pack self-assembly kits, all of which have made claims they failed to live up to; until now! This kit is heavy... and that's a good thing! The weight alone demonstrates immediately upon your recieving of this kit that it is going to be hard-wearing and meet your toughest demands.Assembly of the workstation took less than ten minutes, with the only tool required being a rubber mallet. In my case I couldn't find the rubber mallet, but my standard 8oz hammer has a very rugged rubber handle with a wide grip... this made light work of the task. DON'T TRY TO USE A METAL HAMMER, YOU'LL CHIP THE PAINT AND POSSIBLY EVEN DENT THE METAL!Now, I will recommend you have either a set of wide-nosed pliars or an adjustable spanner to hand as well, as the "central support bars" (on both the Workbench and the Shelving Units) require that you bend the tabs 90 degrees. In my case I used an adjustable spanner, tightened it up over the tab and simply bent it with the spanner as a lever. This worked perfectly, and didn't even leave a mark on the attractive blue paintwork!Oh, and you'll need either a pair of scissors or a Stanley knife to get through the excessive (protective) celophane packing! The gapping between shelves can be quite difficult to judge if you're looking for even spacing on all of them, so here's a tip: the wide central holes running down the length of the uprights, place the front, rear and side plates in such a way that they leave exactly 11 holes between each other. This will ensure that the gap between shelves is even from the bottom to the top (assuming that you leave exactly 3 holes between the very bottom of the uprights and the first shelf, as it says to do in the instructions). You can, of course, have custom gappings in your shelves (so if you need a larger area on one shelf to accommodate something larger, that's easily achieved). Just remember that, as with all shelves, the heaviest load should be placed on the lowest shelves, and the lighter loads on the higher shelves. This drastically reduces stresses on the shelves, thus reducing any chance of them breaking. That said, these shelves are rated for pretty heavy loads of 175KG per shelf, totalling 875KG per unit. To put that weight into perspective: my Suzuki VStrom GT only weighs 660KG... so principally this unit could hold the combined weight of my motorcycle evenly distributed across the shelves (not that it needs to, but nice to know it could).I love the locking design! It's so easy to work with, though I will say that sometimes the tabs can bend outwards through the slots when you're tapping them in with the mallet. This is something to watch out for as it can leave metal jutting outward on the sides of the units. This issue is EASILY AVOIDED by taking your time and ensuring that each tab is interlocking correctly. You can press the tips of the tabs with a finger as you tap with the mallet to ensure that they slot in correctly.Don't be confused when the package arrives and you see it's three parcels. The parcels containing the shelving units each contain TWO units (I was confused by this at first but quickly realized, to my relief). You'll find contained in the package the BigDug catalogue, which makes a man like me feel like a kid in a candy store! So much awesome stuff in there... if only I were a rich man!Anyway, don't waste your time and money with Argos, don't settle for lesser units you'll only be disappointed with... make the investment and get what you NEED rather than what's cheapest!I promise you... you won't regret it! The workbench alone is such a satisfying unit to work with, knowing that it can handle everything I'm doing and more... it's confidence-inspiring! Did I mention that it's the PERFECT height to work on? If not, I just did!Enjoy assembling them, then enjoy using them!

If you need storage this might solve your problem
By Mr. M. O'Sullivan
This shelving set is robust, easy to assemble, and costs a lot less than other products offering similar storage space. It took longer to get it all out of the box than it did to assemble everything. It provides plenty of room and turned a right mess into an organised collection
