I failed to clear a 4" drain with rods, of solidified fat and washing powder.. SEVEN HOURS later, My rods broke in the pipe. I bought this, attached it in seconds, and had the drain clear in under 2 minutes!.. enjoyed it so much I cleaned all the other drains feeding into the manhole!.. and yes, I did recover my rods, once it was clear.. they virtually flushed out. One word of advice.. although it has a red marker about 18" from the end, put a bit of white tape about a metre from the end, and 2 at 2 metres, so you know exactly how much is left in the pipe on the way out!. VERY impressed.. a plumber would have charged me several times the cost of this, and i would not have had it on standby for future.
