Awsome bit of kit!

I've always been a Bosch man until I recently had 2 cordless drills pack up due to power switch faults. I tried a Makita drill and was hooked. This saw is excellent. It feels solid and works extremely well. Although it's battery operated it has a good work life, you quickly get used to only powering on when you're ready to cut. I thought the LED worklight was a bit of a gimic at first but once you've used it you wonder how you managed without it! It's a bit heavy to use for prolonged periods at height but other than that I can't fault it. The supplier (PowerTools Pro) dealt with the order very quickly and it was delivered the day after the order was processed.

More useful than you would have thought

A bit of an impulse buy as I was looking for a spare battery for my Makita combi drill, but saw this. Got the battery from somewhere else then the saw. It does drain batteries pretty quickly so you definitely need a spare. For cutting up old pallets or pruning small trees however it is great. Download the instruction manual from the Makita website, as it comes with nothing if bought 'body only'. Well made and robust so far.

I bought this just in time for work on a profile roof .came in very useful to cut out vent holes with no problems.
