Bin was even better than expected.Excellent quality and appearance.It gave to my kitchen a new prospect!I had spent a lot on 2nd quality/low price products which did not survive, too bad I did not know Brabantia earlier.

I prefer pedal bins to touch ones not only because they are easier to use but also because they are more sanitary. Out kitchen is in cherry-wood with brushed-steel appliances so this was a perfect choice. However, this design is so subtle that I think it will compliment any kitchen.The mechanism works fine for over two years now and the brushed-steel surface is indeed fingerprint-proof.If you can still find one try to get the one with the domed cover.

Smooth pedal action but need to keep your foot on the pedal to keep the lid up unless you use your had to move the lid right back. The inner is easy to lift in and out and the Brabantia bags are a great fit and it looks good with no bag showing. The matt steel certainly fingerprint proof - no grubby kids fingerprints to continually wipe off which makes it easy to clean. This bin lid does not close silently but the fact that the bin is good quality and good cheaper than may others makes this a good buy.
