A Proper fridge

This is a proper fridge you can use camping. Unlike powered cool boxes it actually makes things cold and keeps them like that! We had problems with running on gas (pilot would not light) but we sent it back and the replacement one works.The other winning feature is it is silent, absolutely silent. Don't underestimate this when camping. We had a cool box before and we could not run it at night because the hum of the fan drove me mad!Main downside is it is a beast! definitely a 2 man lift (especially when you have filled it with food) and does take up a chunk of the car. However the capacity is very good so for a weekends camping it pays its way

i have have been using this model for 2 years both in the car boot and in the caravan awning on 250 volts (using a inverter in the car) and found it worked perfect every time. p.s. dont turn the thermostat up too much or it will freeze your food

Failed to work

Got one of these from Go Outdoors. Every time it was moved it failed to start - had to leave it upside down overnight to kickstart it. Not easy to do with a fridge full of food on a campsite - ended up using it as a very efficient (but very expensive) cool box.
