the mattress topper did make an old and uncomfortable mattress feel much more comfortable and offered a little more support so i felt that for the money it did what i expected however if you suffer from backache or arthritis in knees etc i feel that this will not give you the support that you will need had to go out and buy a really firm orthopaedic mattress in the end. but still liked the product
