Design changed, but still looks good..

We purchased one of these in 2012 after having moved house. We needed to match with one we had bought in 2009 and now intended to use at both ends of a large lounge/diner. Not surprisingly, in that timescale the design has changed. The arms now fix differently to the center, the arms that rise up are shorter than the previous model, and there are a couple of other less visible design tweaks. Having said that, the new design is more robust, and as the lights are quite far apart we have decided to accept the differences.. One note is that the glass shades are easily broken (in fact we had one arrive broken in transit, although on contacting the seller - Shade Boutique - they were excellent and sent two spare replacements). Don't let this put you off, the light looks great, just be careful when handling the shades when you assemble and/or change bulbs.

Lovely aesthetically pleasing modern light ...Bought over three years ago and only one lamp blown (blew quickly so think it was a faulty lamp).Reason i give it only 4* instead of 5* is that the star shades break easily when cleaning so be careful....searchlight sent me new ones FREE and we now have one spare...good company thanks Searchlight
