Not quite as it looks

I liked the light and it was easy to instal but I can see why it works well as a dining light and not quite so well as a ceiling fixture. Each of the three glass shades has a rim of gold around the bottom. The problem (I thought) was that the inside of the ring is silver. So when you look up at the brass light you see 3 silver rings. If you were pulling the light down low over a dining table, you wouldn't see the silver insides and it reflects the light to the max. I think it looks a bit odd as a ceiling fixture.

i now have the full set of these lights, they are beautiful and make lovely patterns on the ceiling when lit. everybody comments on how lovely they sre.
