Dependable Hornby

No nonsense, does what it says on the box, educational because thought has to be used to work the toy. I had difficulty connecting the electrics and then found the trick space on the tracks! Someone might have told me.

Well received valentines present

I bought the turntable for my boyfriend as a valentines present as he has recently started a model railway 00 gauge. It was not something that he asked for I just love turntables on railways in real life so got him one for his model. He loved it!!! It now has pride of place in the centre of his layout and has let him have multiple sidings to run his trains and carriages onto when they are not in use on the main track without using endless junction pieces. On the down side it took a while for him to work out how to wire it up correctly and even now he finds that the motor tires quickly so he can only just do one turn and no more before leaving it to rest. Another thing is that it is alot bigger then I expected it to be and so I would not recomend it if your layout is small or there are no big spaces left on your board as remember you need space for the tracks to run off the turntable as well as for the turntable itself.But all in all we are happy with what we got and added the experience into the learning process.

My 7 year old grandson purchased the turtable out of his bBirthday money to go with his Model Railway in Grandads loft. This product does exactly as it says in the box ,it was extremly easy to connect and modify for DCC operation .I downloaded the instructions from the Hornby web site and purchased the necessary chip. Not ever having wired train accesories was rather nervous. but no need to be it wes easy.I would recomend this item .Having read the review about it being tired and having to rest I can only say with DCC operation it works continuous and no sign of strugling
