Lorus titanium black dial

Wanted a quartz watch as my Seiko automatic was gaining - firstly got a Pulsar from H.Samuels for £49.99, but problems with the bracelet.Exchanged it for this Lorus, which was the same price.A new model, I was told in January 09. Lovely looking watch, fairly thin case compared to some modern styles. I like the shape of the shoulders which have a classic curve. Face is clear, easy to read, a good size but not too big, definitely not chunky. Bracelet gives a feeling of quality, not cheap and rattley like some I tried. I like the two release buttons on the side to take it off, not the clip which you have to release with your fingernail on some watches. Looks good and feels good if you like slimmish and classical rather than big and garish.

What you see is what you get with this watch.It is a good quality watch, a nice shape, nice curves, very slim on the wrist and at a good price. I chose this titanium version over the stainless steel so that I don't get a nasty rash on the skin under the watch.The catch is released using 2 little push tabs, rather than the other type of safety catch where you have to use a finger nail to release it.The only reason I've given it a 4* instead of 5* is that when adjusting the strap by removing the links, there is no fine adjustment like you see on some other watches. As it turns out, the lack of a fine adjustment has not been a problem for me, as it fits nicely just by removing a few links. I took it to a local shop, as they have the proper tool to do it, without me having to struggle and risk damaging it - only cost £5 which I think is worth the money.Very good value for money, very pleased with the item, I think this may last me for a good few years to come.
