An undiscovered gem....

Amazon's very brief description of this item does it no favours whatsoever, completely missing out that just over £300 not only gets you a top notch PDA, but it has the latest TomTom SatNav software pre-installed and is ready to go straight out of the box - the battery even comes charged! It comes with maps for the UK and mainland western Europe all pre-installed. In the box there's a cradle to mount it as a satnav and cable to power it from the cigarette lighter on longer journeys.As a PDA it is excellent also. I previously owned a Palm device, but this HP PDA runs rings around it in terms of what it can do. All of the usual diary, contacts, email and so on, but HP also give you a voucher that you can redeem online for additional software of your choice (from a good selection).Come on Amazon, write a proper description and you might actually sell some. £300 looks a lot for a PDA, even a good one, but not when it's got full blown TomTom satnav built in for that price.

A fantastic product is let down by accesories

I love this little machine but it has two major drawbacks:The Tomtom Western Europe map is years out of date (it doesn't even have the London congestion zone). An update from Tomtom will cost you 100 Euro!.The carrying case is a poor design. If you carry the machine in a bag or pocket it will usually get switched on by accident and the battery will be dead when you need it!

I totally agree with the review "An undiscovered gem". This unit effectively combines two gadgets in one neat unit. It is a very effective Sat Nav, with the latest Tom Tom maps and functionality (you can add POIs for example) but it's also an excellent PDA with Windows mobile 5, Mobile IE, Outlook, Word Excel etc. It also has a range of connectivity including PC, Wi-Fi, blue tooth etc.The box contains full Sat Nav mount/holder for a car, together with power connection, protective case, and details of additional free software.
