Absolutely perfect for paperback or CD collections

I have been looking for a long time for a bookshelf that would be narrow enough for paperbacks, and yet elegant. I was a bit concerned with the fake wood on description, but this worked perfectly once put together, especially with the glass shelves. It was super easy to assemble, really well made, all in all a good surprise, and highly recommended if you need a bookshelf that can contain a lot without taking much space. Pour les Francais, si vous cherchez une biblio pour livres de poches, c'est vraiment tip top, ca faisait 1 mois que nous cherchions, et nous sommes ravis du resultat.

Not bad for MDF

First off: it's not beech, it's MDF with a beech-effect melamine skin. It pays to be very sure when constructing the unit that every piece is in the right position (e.g. the tiny hole for the top restraining strap goes at the back) otherwise you'll be rescrewing in flakey MDF holes. It might be an idea to drop some wood glue in the holes to stabilise the core around the screws.Putting that caveat aside, the unit is attractive (or very inoffensive) and holds plenty.I've just bought my second of these units, which arrived with one cracked side piece: the packing was intact so I think this must have been missed in the factory, which is poor quality control. However, company's helpline couldn't have been more helpful and a replacement was soon on its way. So despite grumbles, I would buy again.
