Phantom power faux pas

Used this mic for the first time last night and it gives great sound.Something for buyers to be aware of though, you must use phantom power on the desk for this mic to work, I sent the first mic I received back to amazon because I thought it was faulty, turned out I just needed to turn on the phantom power button on the desk! Oops! User booklet doesn't give any guidance on this.
