A classic!

When I was a little girl 25 years ago, I had a Playmobil circus. Amazingly, the modern model is very much the same. It still is a great toy. It consists of a round ring surrounded by seats, with a trapeze-type contraption above and a tent. The tent is gorgeous, and the other pieces of the circus fit easily in the centre ring (yes, this has changed - 25 years ago they were not this smart) The "cassa" or ticket office in the front is very cute, and there are a few key circus figures as well with the set. One word of warning: get one of the other circus sets as well (lions, horses, dogs, elephants, whichever) - the circus on its own only has the little trapeze and very few circus-goers.

My eight year old son really enjoyed building the circus tent and seating all his playmobil characters in the audience to watch the show (it made me laugh to see all the police, firemen and pirates in the audience!). It is a lovely toy...but you need to buy the acts separately.
