Excellent performance and value for money

I used to be a Leica owner, but I got tired of both their weight and poor close focus. During one of my periodic moaning sessions, I was recommended these by an excellent birder and lodge owner in Costa Rica who, like me, had tried to stay faithful to Leica, but was giving up the struggle ...Leightweight and with optical performance to match the Leicas - and good close focus as well - these bins have not disappointed at all. Highly recommended.

I found these binoculars by chance at a store in Wales. I am familiar with the brand - recalling the Minox mini 'Spy' camera. These impressed in the shop and later in their first outing - a two hour walk with the Minox slung around my neck. They are tough, but light weight so no neck strain after the walk. The optics are bright and sharp and very easy on the eye. I felt I could use these for hours. The well designed neck strap and 'quick release' eye glass protectors feel classy and durable. I am delighted with my buy. Strongly recommended. The only issue seems to be about the guarantee. Some binocular brands offer at least 10 - 30 years. Minox seems to be only two years. True?
