Great little fader!

I'm a radio producer with a basic laptop-ProTools setup at home. I haven't needed a more substantial home studio up to now and homework is only ever editing - not recording. I'd been doing more mixing recently and controlling the virtual fader using trackpad or mouse felt a bit childish, so I was looking around for a single USB fader and the Faderport seemed to get the best reviews. It's a lovely, compact bit of kit, and was within my price range. I'm incredibly pleased with it and wish I had more nerdy friends so I could brag to them about it! It seems very well made - despite its size and price it has a pro-audio feel - and does what I need it to do without cluttering up my desk with unnecessary studio kit.

Usb software control interface from presonus has the same high standard as their other products, with fantastic DAW transport control (especially when linked to Roland Cakewalk's Sonar X1. It has a great long throw fader and smooth operation making it ideal for use on the go, and it really does mean you can use the mouse less...Excellent product, and Bus powered too (unless you want the fader motorised that is).

Good thing

PreSonus Faderport is thing that you must have to produce good mix. It's small, handy and easy to work. But, there is some problems with it and I think that PreSonus must release new drivers, because I somethimes have issue with Logic 9, because I must do "midi reset" to put Faderport properly works with my Mac Book Pro.
