Georgeous looking and sounding guitar

Love this guitar not just for its dramatic looks, but also cos it sounds great too. It's in the budget guitar cost bracket and you might expect this to sound cheap and thin esp as it has a laminated top, but the guitar is mahogany and sounds sweet and mellow - there is a richness to the sound. I chose this guitar because of its smaller dimensions and I'm happily surprised that the sound projects so well.The guitar is a great size for petite people - it has a shallow depth and Luna guitars are designed to be easy to play for women. The fretboard is smooth and easy to play. The action it came with was good, but I had it professionally set up just a little lower and put lighter strings on - however, to keep the rich sound, I suggest light to medium strings. It sounds great for strumming and picking. If you played fingerstlye perhaps you might want something a little sweeter.I've put it through my amp and it sounds sweet and clean - the preamp gives a good balance to the sound. Practicing at home it's loud enough not to need amplification. It's a fun, distinctive sounding, easy to play guitar that's budget priced - I would certainly recommend it. I played a few other guitars before buying this one...and the only other that I found matched it on sound and wow factor (and smaller dimensions) was a Dean Exotica acoustic, but that was £100 or more expensive. Think I'm converted to being a LUNAtic!
