Excellent
By J. Domingues
I have been playing Gran Turismo since GT1 using the joypad. I always wanted to have a feel of whats like to use one of these. Now that I got it, I have to say I am delighted, the best thing I bought in years. The chair is quite easy to assemble, its very well built and I find it confortable. If you add to this the gears module and the Logitech G25, its a heaven. I highly recommend this if you are a serious player/driver. Plus, do not forget that with the new releases of GT since GT3, it became quite difficult to play with the pad, with this set, its a completely different ball game. You will find yourself getting those golds in the licenses a lot lot lot easier (if your good of course :)Like I said, I absolutely recommend this.(you have got to have a brilliant wife like mine though :) that doesn't mind this in the living room, for now at least, bless her :) )

Playseat enhance your driving game experience
By Vlad_1
I purchased this for use with the Thrustmaster T500 RS Force Wheel with Feedback (PS3) inorder to mount the wheel and pedals for the best gaming experience. I am new to driving simulators. So my review will focus on those wishing to get a seat for driving sims. One of the positive things about the Playseat is that it is easy to assemble and comes with step by step instructions with picture diagrams it took me about 40 minutes to assemble (I'm bad at DIY), for the more DIY able I expect it would only take 20 to 30 minutes to assemble. (You don't need any tools and one person can do it)Another positive is that it is easy to move if necessary if you need to pack away compared to other alternative seats (You can split it into two easily once assembled).I purchased this seat mainly for this reason. The weight of the seat is a positive and negative. It is easier to move around but by being like this it is not as sturdy as alternative rigs such as the 'GT Omega Racing setup' and the 'Obutto'(It won't break but the rig may vibrate or move a little when in use). Also it does not come with a stand for your monitor or TV like the other sim racing rigs (you can purchase one separately but the Playseat one is too expensive for its build quality). If your looking for a triple screen setup for PC I recommend going for the 'Obutto'.(The best for PC setups I've actually seen)The seat is coated in a vinyl finish and is fairly comfortable over long periods of use, but is not the best quality or most comfortable seat you can get, however, it folds down to pack away and save space. The length of the Playseat is about 1.2 to 1.3 metres from the back of the chair base to the pedal angle so you need a fair amount of room for it. If you don't have the room for this I recommend the 'Wheel Stand Pro'. The Playseat can be altered for various heights of people. In my practical use I found people between 5ft6 to 6ft should be fine. I am unsure if children could fit this you may need to purchase the Seat Slider (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PC) for a better fit.The steeing column is well built and moves to different heights easily and the pedal mount is sturdy and can be offset for better left or right hand braking. In practice I found the centre column a minor annoyance. However, those who have a bit more money and need a similar compact simseat without the centre column I recommend the 'Gamepod' which I found at my friends to be more comfortable in use with the Thrustmaster T500 RS.All in all I happy with the Playseat it suits my use and enhances games on PC Sims and breathes new life into console games such as Gran Turismo 5 on PS3.(Play this with a proper steering wheel and simseat and then judge how good the game is)I would highly recommend getting this seat for an entry level product to sim racing.I would also recommend it if you have or are thinking of getting a Fantec steering wheel or a G27 Logitech steering wheel. (I got my Playseat from Amazon alot cheaper then the Playseat site so is recommended for the price if you can get it from here.)
