bulldozer brilliance
By Toby Robins
I recived this fantastic lego model for my 11th birthday. It is probaly the best lego model they have ever made- it goes, it can climb piles of books, it can pull anything from the sisters school bag to dads size 12 slippers that weight about 25KG! It is a fantastic model and deserves to go down in history. There are few bad points- maybe it drinks battery power like it is going out of fashion, its tracks may lack grip in some skiddy areas. But all in all it is a very clever model and I made it in 8 and a half hours.

Monster kit and a fantastic model
By M. J. Killick
I haven't built a Lego Technic set since I was about 10, but have thought about getting one of the larger sets for a while now (I am 31!).I couldn't have chosen a better set than the Bulldozer. This huge set has over 1,300 pieces and took me around 14 hours to build. It is obviously more interesting because it has the motorised functions. The finished model looks fantastic, and is certainly great fun to build. The motorised functions also work very well. Don't worry about the age range being stated at between 11 and 16. This is definitely a toy for adults! 11 year olds who can build this must be smarter than I'd think. The only minor gripe is that the packaging is a bit poor considering you're spending £100. Instead of getting nice compartments in a big tray like I remember, all the pieces are just in clear plastic bags inside an otherwise empty cardboard box. Right - next purchase: the Tow Truck!

I love it
By Martin Daly
For 30 years I have been collecting and builing Lego, and for 20 of those have concentrated on the Technic and Mindstorms stuff of which I have probably owned well over 50 sets. In all that time I would say that the only Lego set I rate higher than this one is the Mindstorms NXT. This bulldozer is an excellent model - extremely well designed, challenging to build (most kids would definitely need some help), solidly constructed, and hugely fun! And it looks great too! The only *tiny* dissapointment for me was that the motors and connectors are not directly compatible with Mindstorms but I think you can use the RIS to send IR instructions to them, arguably making them more useful in mixing with the older Mindstorms kits. It has definitely been the most engaging Lego model for me so far and was worth every penny.
