Note this is the Marcy JD2.1 bench. There is NO 2.2 bench at this time, so don't get confused shopping round.The bench required assembly, which involves slotting the 5 metal pieces together and bolting them tight, then bolting the frame to the "seat". 18 bolts all told. Not difficult and the instructions are clear. (The bolts were a little oily, which is good for the metal, but bear it in mind when opening.)Once assembled, the bench is a good size and the 2" by 2" frame makes it very sturdy. It's also light enough to move around if required.The metal frame is powder-coated and to be frank, the coating's not great. The powder coating is likely to come off very quickly and rust will possibly set in if you use this in a damp area.To prevent this (or at least slow it down) I wrapped duct tape round the bottom metal "feet" which should help.But for the price, this is an excellent bench that will take a lot of weight. My kid is lying on it right now playing his gameboy, so there's another fan! :)Bottom line, best bench for the price by far!

well worth the price, nice bit of kit, easy to assemle too, takes about 15 mins with two allen keys you get with.the advantages of a flat bench like this is the fact it doesnt completely dominate the room its in (like my other weight bench). ideal if you use dumbells rather than barbell, and you cant really do skullcrushers with a weight bench.

simple and sturdy

I bought this product as I had used my friends one, and I really liked it. Its really sturdy when you do weights but its very easy to move around due to its size and light weight.
